Stewart Beckett is one of the foremost designers of sports related graphics in Europe. There are very few who combine a strong historical instinct with modern image and powerful sensibilities in so nearly equal a measure.

The work of his Manchester based design team, A'Becket Studio, can be seen in virtually every artistic outlet in Europe, and on many walls, on council estates and castles alike.

Muhammad Ali, George Best, Tiger Woods, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sir Alex Ferguson, Pele, Ferenc Puskas, Sir Tom Finney, Alfredo di Stefano, David Beckham, Sir Matt Busby, Eric Cantona, Sir Stanley Matthews, Carlos Teves and many more Sporting Icons have been personally impressed by the Studio's creative force.

Stewart Beckett received a solid education in design theory at the Oldham College of Art, and later at the Sheffield Regional College between 1963-1967.

Several celebrity encounters over the years enabled Beckett to design an album sleeve for the late Beatle George Harrison, and form a strong bond with the footballer George Best, the latter opening many doors, and suggesting in 1996 that Beckett should target the sporting world with his graphic posters. Beckett's first sporting limited edition lithograph was published the same year, and to date the studio's catalogue numbers over 150 editions.

In addition to receiving many awards, ranging form the 'Gran Premio International De Las Artes', Florence, Italy to accolades from 'Communication Arts' and 'Graphis' magazines, the studio was commissioned by UEFA in 2003 to assist in the graphical content of that years Champions League Final programme, Juventus v AC Milan in Manchester.

A'Becket Studio artworks have been included in prominent permanent collections worldwide, including those of the British Football Museum in Preston, UK, Manchester United Football Club, Woodford Developments in Dublin and the 'Centre Georges Pompidou' in Paris.
